Ramon Luis Lopez Evangelista, an artist from the Philippines, garnered attention and appreciation for his artwork titled “Nintendo ICONS Rule!” at the London Art Biennale 2023. When asked about his inspiration, Evangelista said, “I wanted to pay homage to the lasting impact Nintendo has had on generations. These characters are not just symbols in gaming; they are ingrained in our culture, and I aimed to capture that essence in my painting.”
