Artist’s Statement
“My artworks are a pop art hybrid of painting and sculpture. Whether it’s someone’s interests or something I like and feel that pops into my mind, I like to create it in different styles using different techniques and materials. Like living beings, art communicates in a special way, telling different stories with emotions and themes we can all relate to.”

Contemporary Paintings
Pop art by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Tom Wesselman, as well as cubism by Pablo Picasso, inspired my style and technique.
As a child, I was fascinated by the colors of Disney animated movies and TV shows as well as Nintendo video games which I still love to play. I apply similar vibrant color schemes to my paintings which I feel I can use to entertain and excite audiences of all ages and generations.
I use digital images of my favorite personalities and figures to come up with different compositions. The images and concepts I compose are based not only on my interests, mood and preferences, but the interests of others as well. The idea being that the art I create is an art for sharing.
The texture I create is in the form of embossed ridges, to give not only a 3D effect, but also lighting and shadow effects that vary depending on the thickness and elevation of the ridge and angle of the light. I also use brush textures to provide relief and “tactile” sense. The division of areas into smaller geometric shapes is inspired by cubism. I perform this technique to break down images into smaller shapes to give the art its details.
Each and every one of my paintings is a dedication to the beauty of people and nature and I hope to bring joy, bliss and inspiration, as I continue to explore art with my audience.
